If so, getting Pat Robertson and Rick Perry to be featured in the ads was a terrible idea.
I disagree. I think having personalities like that featured in support of this issue might be able to sway a skeptic or two. You could point there and say “Look, even Pat fucking Robertson thinks this is a good idea. It’s not just lefties with different values than the so-called moral majority who think that legalization’s time has come.” If this legalization movement has supporters who are in such stark contrast to the typical drug law reform supporter, it will probably expand support and change the minds of some conservative naysayers.
